One of Maldon's most interesting houses, reputed to have been designed and built by Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo, a progressive English architect and designer who was a major influence of the arts and crafts movements in the 1880's. Mackmurdo mastered several crafts including metalworking and cabinet making and indeed in this property, the original metal lights remain intact, adding to the influence of this beautiful arts and crafts home, with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The property has been an on-going project for updating and modernisation by the current owners, to provide bright and spacious living accommodation, whilst retaining all of its original period charm. The property has much of a Colonial influence with a long veranda to the front and oriel windows to the side of the property making the most of the breath taking views.
